Alternative education provides an environment for students who are still of an age to be in the compulsory schooling system, but for whom continued attendance at the school in which they are enrolled is not an option.
E&E has very experienced tutors, who provide students with more focussed learning support. This support is designed to assist the student to be able to move back into the school environment.
E&E Alternative Education in Dunedin enables a small number of learners to do their learning in our main youth programmes – Service Sector for Youth (hospitality) and Early Childhood Education. Successful students can progress to achieve the qualifications that are available in the youth programmes.
E&E Alternative Education in Whangarei, while on our main E&E campus, is run as a separate programme. As a programme that is aligned with high school programmes with a strong focus on essential literacy and numeracy, classroom learning is mixed with outdoor activities.
